Institute of Industrial Relations – University of California, Berkeley The Institute of Industrial Relations (IIR) is an Organized Research Unit (ORU) on the Berkeley Campus of the University of California. It was created by an act of the California Legislature in 1945 to promote labor and workplace research, education, and community service relating to labor, industrial relations, and the workplace.
